Billy was born in Phoenix, Arizona but grew up in Greeneville, Tennessee. He has continued as a second-generation of a prominent real estate family. He attended Carson-Newman University where he met his wife, Mackenzie. Billy holds two degrees, a B.S. in Marketing and a B.S. in Business Management. After graduating, Billy was accepted into the MBA program of his alma mater but shortly after enrolling in his master’s degree, he received a job offer in the music and entertainment industry and could not pass up on the incredible opportunity. He spent the next several years touring the country and internationally on music tours providing production support. He then moved to Los Angeles, CA, for a job opportunity working for one of the top artist management companies in the nation representing clients such as Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, DNCE, Adam Lambert, and Iggy Azalea. Billy spent the majority of his career in LA serving on the management team for Grammy® Award-Winning sibling trio, The Band Perry. Billy also held the role of tour manager and led several major US tours, as well as private appearances outside of the US. He worked in both Los Angeles and Nashville but had the opportunity in 2018 to relocate to Nashville permanently for his job. He continued his music career in Nashville and went on to serve on the management teams for bands such as country a cappella group Home Free and Nashville country duo, Striking Matches.

During the last several years of his music career, Billy had begun assisting his wife Mackenzie with her real estate transactions. While living out his dream in music, Billy’s love for real estate led him to earn his real estate license. He soon made the decision to pursue real estate full-time and he and Mackenzie later formed the Monette Group.

Mackenzie, a Chicago native, has lived in Nashville since 2017. Prior to moving to Nashville, Mackenzie lived in multiple cities including Knoxville, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles. She’s thrilled to now call Music City home. The experience of living in multiple cities across the country has granted Mackenzie new views on life, culture, and real estate.

Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Health Sciences. Now permanently residing in Nashville with her husband, Mackenzie has grown to love the balance of fast-paced city life without sacrificing southern comfort.

Billy and Mackenzie live in East Nashville with their German Shepherd, Scout. Their faith is the center of their family and business, and they are members of Cross Point Church in Nashville. Their passions outside of real estate include backpacking, hiking, healthy eating, physical fitness, and snowboarding.
